Thank you for choosing DISI Link. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection, privacy, and permissions in connection with the DISI Link Android companion application and Torque Pro plugin.
DISI Link is designed specifically for Mazda vehicles powered by the MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo engine (Mazdaspeed 3 / MPS, Mazdaspeed 6 / MPS, and Mazda CX-7). The app injects proprietary extended OBD-II and CAN diagnostic PIDs (such as real-time Knock Retard, High-Pressure Fuel Pump actual/desired pressures, Boost Air Temp, and VVT advance) into Torque Pro.
Data Safety & Zero Data Collection
We do not collect, monitor, store, share, or transmit any personal information, vehicle telemetry, or user data.
DISI Link operates 100% offline. The application does not declare or request Android internet access permissions (android.permission.INTERNET), making it physically impossible for the application to transmit any data off your device or connect to remote servers.
All PID definitions, formulas, and sensor categories are embedded locally within the app binary and are processed entirely on your device in volatile memory.
Requested Permissions & IPC Architecture
DISI Link adheres to the principle of minimal privilege. It does not request any sensitive runtime permissions (no location, no contacts, no camera, no microphone, and no external storage access).
To communicate with Torque Pro, DISI Link utilizes the following standard Android mechanisms:

Package Visibility (
<queries>): Required by Android 11+ (API 30+) to detect whether Torque Pro (org.prowl.torque) is installed on your device, allowing DISI Link to launch Torque Pro or establish a local bridge. -
Local Inter-Process Communication (AIDL IPC):
DISI Link connects to Torque Pro's official local background service (
org.prowl.torque.remote.TorqueService) using standard Android Binder IPC. This connection transfers predefined PID metadata directly into Torque's local database. This exchange occurs strictly within your local operating system and never leaves your device.
Third-Party Services & SDKs
DISI Link does not include or integrate with any third-party software development kits (SDKs), advertising networks, analytical trackers, crash-reporting frameworks, or user behavioral monitoring tools.
Diagnostic & Safety Disclaimer
DISI Link provides diagnostic PID formulas based on OEM Mazda PCM specifications for enthusiast monitoring and tuning diagnostics. DISI Link does not modify or flash your vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU/PCM). Users are solely responsible for ensuring safe driving habits and proper vehicle maintenance while operating automotive monitoring tools.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted directly on our developer page or within application update release notes. Your continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
